We have a winner!

CONGRATULATIONS! YOU DID IT!

What an amazing, adventurous, relaxing, thrilling, challenging time it has been for all of us. We have seen so many wonderful, beautiful, spectacular sights, met so many kind and helpful people. We have challenged ourselves, acted frequently beyond our usual comfort zones, been forced into much greater self-reliance, and more importantly, inter-dependence on one another. We have learned gratitude, perspective, humility, confidence. We have learned that dreams come true, that goals are meant to be realized, and that many of the most meaningful achievements come only after long effort, sleepless nights, physical/mental/economic discomfort and persistence. We learned that the sun always comes up. We learned that God knows each of us, and will help us, many times in unseen or unrecognized ways, if we just ask (and importantly, whether we deserve it or not).

Shall we play again?

So I can't wait until Friday...

Yes, Bones, what you found is a clue. And here is another:

The Keepers best friend
As old legend foretold
Stays to defend that
Wizened master, so old.

To care for his friend
So tried and true
The rules to bend
For a meal is due.

‘Tis hid in plain view
So the Keeper will swear
Till fangs not a few
His friend doth bear.

Serpenty-winged-doctor-thingamajig

Ahhh...finally. What do you think that doctor thingy is called? I think you get another clue Friday.
Well, of course unless you want it sooner.

So...Do ya? Can you smell the treasure?

You must be very close to the Treasure!

Hmmm...So you didn't find anything based on that tape thing you found? Something is missing. That clue didn't get you to the next? I haven't recieved any other clues either. Your last response MYSHEEMO did not cause any new clues to be forfeited. What did this message mean? Who is the Keeper? And "move Jackets"? What Jackets? You must be very close to the Treasure! Be on the look out for unusual items! It must be very near! The Keeper...Jackets...very odd...

What languages do you speak?

Good job on finding the the compass! You will need it to figure this one out.

Gehangen op de daksparren
Manier omhoog naar de hemel
'Rynd oost oost'
en climber de hoge.

Omslag zal het dubbele spoor
'Unhid' in het goed
dan verhaal van de band
aan allen vertellen.

You may need a translator for this...

Remember the First Rule

Dear Shana-
Remember the first rule??

“But first one ground rule for the treasure hunt: When you find a clue you must report about it as a comment to this blog. We have been assured that additional clues will come only after the previous clue is described or imaged or scanned to the blog.”

We need a description or picture of the item you found. We cannot get the next piece of the puzzle until they know for sure you have truly got the real thing and not another fake.

Oprah You Cheat!

Wow! I thought Oprah was my friend! Evidently with all her resources and CASH she got the clue and is giving it away! I am shocked! Well, the answer is out there now, but I'll be darned if I am going to tell you how to get it. One person figured it out. Can the rest of you?

Friday Give Away

Ok, ok…just in case you thought me truly heartless and completely soulless, I am going to practically give you the answer. Have you ever played Jumble in the newspaper? You answer the questions and some of the letters in the answer are circled, then you take those letters and they spell a word or phrase.
Sort of the same concept here…Use the Hippocratic Oath (Oprah was right—Wikipedia version—English though, not Greek in case you got there and wondered which to use! You’ll laugh when you get there!). The numbers are line and space (not just letters)count. This spells out a phrase / clue. That's as far as my generousity goes today! You have to think a little bit!
Happy counting and hunting!
PS—We have at least three very smart teams on the hunt! It is exciting to hear of the reports of these teams! Go MMC! Hey, do the teams have names?

Where's Oprah when I need her??

Well, you have been a busy bunch fervently searching for clues everywhere! I really hate telling you this because you seem like such a good group, but...

all you have found are fakes, including those pictures you have described!

I which Oprah could have delivered this news! She would have done so much better.

Oh, I am so very sorry! The imposter is a sick and twisted gamester and seeks to break your collective spirit. Take heart--a new real hint has been released to us and what we received you will find below.

But first I want to take a moment to bolster your confidence, and to try yet again to convince you to ask questions (like playing 20 questions!) in the comments of this blog. There are those who follow this blog who want to help, but communicating in the blog is the only way they know if you need help. You are doing a fantastic job! Your spirits are soaring!

Here's your Friday hint:

An oath they all took,

With the numbers listed,

Will guide you to look

For that Treasure two-fisted.

Famous Followers and helpful hints...

Well, we are graced with the presence of the mighty Ms. O! We are so honored to have her as a follower! She brings with her a wealth of experience and information! We are also honored to have Pete the Perch and Professor Trevor Anderson joining our little adventure. What a fun group this is turning out to be!

Oprah is right, as usual. You are an eager and enthusiastic group of treasure hunters! Remember you are looking for an item. I have been assured you will know you have found something because it will actually look odd or different. So this is not something you have seen before or would expect to see in your offices.

Oprah is also right about the fakes. There are imposters lurking all about you, so be careful. I think you will recognize the fakes. They may even state they are fakes just to frustrate you.

Finally, Oprah is right about work. Stay on the job. Your patients depend on you! Monitor the blog during your breaks. It should be obvious now that the treasure and the clues and items leading you to it are well hidden, as any self-respecting treasure would be (Even Pete agrees!). So you have time on your side. The flash-in-the-pan hunters will soon tire when then don’t find the treasure upon their cursory investigations. To the enduring souls will the treasure belong.

We will negotiate and release future clues on Fridays only. There may be intermittent posts such as this, to help you on your hunt, to answer some of your questions, and to offer hints…but only if you ask…

So keep pondering, Professor, and stay in the hunt!

Here it is---Clue #1

New members of Apollo’s Order celebrating a decennial; they looked too young to restore Values to order.

You are looking for an item hidden somewhere in your building.

One Rule Before We Start

Hey Everyone! Are you excited?? We are!

But first one ground rule for the treasure hunt:
When you find a clue you must report about it as a comment to this blog. We have been assured that additional clues will come only after the previous clue is described or imaged or scanned to the blog.

First clue tomorrow

We have finally made arrangements to receive the first clue tomorrow--Friday the 13th. We will give some ground rules for the treasure hunt then as well. Pass this on to your friends and co-workers at Medford Medical. The more treasure hunters, the merrier!

Negotiating for the clues

We are currently in negotiations to obtain a set...ok, THE SET...of clues that will lead us to the treasure. It's very exciting! But we are going to eventually need the help of the people at the Black Oak site. If you know anyone there, send this to them so they can be ready for the clues when we get them.
