- The Treasure of Black Oak-- Over half a century ago three doctors created a place where people could receive medical care from some of the world’s best physicians. They had a vision. They imbued upon it their beliefs that the health and well-being of the people was something of intrinsic value; something that could easily be lost if not protected. Because of the magnitude of the vision they knew that others would have to be brought into the trusted alliance in order to protect the vision. Over the coming decades, one by one, physicians were brought into the partnership. But only a select few were sworn as defenders of the vision. These doctors became known as Apollo’s Order.
I can’t believe it!!! It’s happening again! By the way, for those of you who don’t know me, or have forgotten me, I am Pete. I lived in the Black Oak building in 2002-2003. I’m an honorary MMC alumnus. Back in the day, MMC used the FISH! Philosophy. Our mantra was Be There, Play, Make Their Day and Choose Your Attitude. Those people really like to play at MMC. Would you believe someone FISHnapped me? It happened in October of 2003. It was quite the “to do”. I was eventually returned to my rightful owner, and have been happily there since. But, now I see there’s another mystery brewing at Black Oak. It’s time for me to come out of my pond. You’re going to need my expertise. So, “Detective Pete” on the job here! Bring on the clues, I’m ready…
